Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc Malbec | 750 ml 14.0% alc by vol.
A blend of the finest parcels of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, Te Awa Boundary has been a major success over the last decade in showcasing NZ’s potential to produce world class wines. This is a serious red, saturated with dark fruit, cassis, fruitcake, black forest gateaux, balanced by savoury spice and roasted coffee bean characters on the finish. The palate unravels in a cocoa like texture with fabulously fine tannin and a nice juiciness. A classic red wine buy at a once in a lifetime price, this is in its prime right now but can be enjoyed through to 2012.

Chardonnay | 750 ml 14.0% alc by vol.
Valhalla: The shining golden hall in Norse Mythology where the souls of fallen Viking warriors chosen by Odin feasted with the gods. This Chardonnay is certainly fit for the gods with only the finest barrels ofChardonnay meeting the rigorous quality standards for inclusion. Blessed with the richness of White Burgundy and the fine mineral freshness of Chablis, fine citrus and golden peach entwine with hazelnut, nougat, baked apple pie, hints of clove and nutmeg in an exhilarating palate gently braced by natural acids. Capturing the richness of Waiheke fruit and it’s maritime influences in a way that makes it such a fine food Chardonnay and one that you would not easily tire of, enjoy now through 2012.

Sauvignon Blanc | 750 ml 13.5% alc by vol.
If you haven’t heard yet, 2009 is a cracking Sauvignon vintage. Clayridge is the winery of Mike Just, ex-senior winemaker at Lawson’s Dry Hills where he amassed 6 trophies, 20 gold medals and Top 100 status inthe US. This, his own label, is an incredibly textural Sauvignon from the careful use of old French oak barrels and wild fermentations. The wonderful citrus, guava and tropical fruits are balanced by citrus infused acids that leave your mouth watering. Simply excellent – what a winery, what a winemaker, you’ll be impressed!

Pinot Noir | 750 ml 14.0% alc by vol.
Rudi Bauer is one of only six winemakers worldwide in the running for International Winemaker of the Year at the prestigious Der Feinschmecker Wine Awards, dubbed the Oscars of the wine world. When you taste the complexity and richness of this amazing Pinot Noir you’ll understand why. An abundance of dried herbs, dark cherry, spice and black plums tease your senses and then spoil your taste buds with blueberry, chocolate and truffle which ooze from the silky fleshy palate enhanced by firm yet perfectly ripe tannins and superbly integrated oak. Good luck from the team Rudi.

Pinot Noir | 750 ml 14.0% alc by vol.
This fabulous Pinot Noir comes from Adelaide Hills, Australia. It oozes spicy sweet aromas of blackberries and hints of cloves, it’s incredibly velvety with luscious dark berries, sweet cherries a dash of red currents and delicious chocolate notes; reminds me of my favourite Central Otago Pinot Noir. Drinking beautifully now through to 2013.

Carmenere | 750 ml 14.0% alc by vol.
Crafted from low yielding vineyards in the heart of Chile’s Cahapaol valley, the resulting wine showcases very concentrated aromas of ripe cherries, dried herbs, violets and a touch of rustic spice. The palateis seductively textured and laden with tastes of dark berry fruits, milk chocolate and red plums embraced by dusty cocoa tannins and a touch of soft savory oak. Enjoy regularly with your favorite BBQ meats dishes and good company.
