Port refers to slightly sweet fortified wines that originally came from the Douro Valley in Portugal, but these days encompasses Portugese, Spainish and Australian producers too. There are several Port Wine styles - Tawny , Ruby , Rose, and White Port Wine. Perfect with richly flavoured cheese, chocolate or caramel desserts, smoked or salty nuts and even smoked sweet meats.
