The Wine… A hint of croissant, subtle struck match, vanilla, peach, and almond blossom. Weighted with stone fruit set in a creamy texture driving to a refreshing lemon zest finish, the wine is balance personified, it owns your palate. It will magnify in personality with roasted pork, poultry and richer seafoods.

'Bilancia' was born out of the Italian word for balance, where Warren Gibson and Lorraine Leheny learned and earned their winemaking chops. They subsequently rose to the top of the NZ & Hawkes Bay Syrah winemaking ladder almost 2-decades ago… and they’ve owned their position.

The Wine…
Leather, roses, red liquorice, florals, and pepper. Laden with juicy black fruits, savoury complexities and delicious peppery nuances set in a finely textured palate. It will develop finer leathery and savoury complexities as the years roll by (2027-2010). From the superb 2020 vintage it literally sings, a symphony of harmony, power, charm, and balance.
