Restricted Customer RELEASE - Annual Allocation of Kumeu River's World Class Single Vineyard Chardonnays...
For 26 years we've said Kumeu River Chardonnays are NZ's Finest... so it's exciting the Annual Release of their World Class SV Chardonnays coincides with our 26th Birthday in August.
The Estate, Coddington, Hunting Hill & Mates... have been Double Blind tasted by the world's finest critics in London in recent years – compared with White Burgundies many times their prices... and prevailed!
Restricted to Previous Buyers first...
Michael Brajkovich hosted a Showcase Release tasting at Fine Wine Delivery last Wednesday. These 2022 Kumeu River Single Vineyard Chardonnays were simply outstanding and again World Class. The intricacy behind their vineyard management, differing oak programs, and complex use of a number of select yeasts in their respective fermentations, shed light on why they are all different, exciting... and World Class!
Leading world wine critic Jancis Robinson MW once compared Mates to the 1,000 euro per bottle Grand Coche-Dury White Burgundy, declaring Mate's to be more consistent under screwcap. Another prominent critic making the same comparison proposed you could equally enjoy Mate's or Grand Coche-Dury, the difference being you could fly First Class return to NZ and bring home a case of Mate's for the same price of a case of Grand Coche-Dury.
Getting the picture... Kumeu River Estate, Rays Road, Coddington, Hunting Hill & Mates are all World Class, and all demonstrably underpriced compared to their White Burgundy quality peers.
As usual all 4 of the SV Releases are in demand in the World's leading fine wine markets and tightly allocated globally. The Brajkovich family never forget their Kiwi roots and wine lovers, who have supported them on their journey to International Chardonnay stardom. Although International markets would pay considerably more for these magnificent wines... they have resisted the urge to drive their prices up to a level commensurate with the frightfully expensive White Burgundies they are as good as, and often better than.
Our allocation is offered first to previous buyers via this "Restricted Release" email. If you are receiving this offer place your order quickly as these SV Chardonnays usually sell out in days.
I'm putting them all in our cellar! Virginia would never forgive me if I didn't... I would be disappointed with myself too.
Enjoy NZ's GREATEST & World Class Kumeu River SV Chardonnays! Cheers JEFF
But wait there's more excitement to be had...
Included in this offer are the Rays Road & Hunting Hill Pinot Noirs from 2020 & 2021 respectively. They also showed beautifully (very Burgundian like) at the tasting. Rays Road a more generous, supple and gamey style; the elegant Hunting Hill could be compared to Chambolle Musigny Red Burgundy stylistically.
Also, the impressive duo of Kumeu River Crémant Methode Traditionnelle, offered at special release prices. Their time on lees (critical to building body & finesse in Champagne & Methode Traditionnelle) far exceeding that of the big brand Champagnes you find on special in supermarkets at much higher prices. I would urge you to buy a bottle of each and try them, you'll find an exciting, new duo of bubbles to enjoy.
Oh... don't forget to top up your Kumeu River Pinot Gris stocks included in this special price offer too.
