Description
All of Southwards spirits are made with the same love and attention given to a premium whisky (i.e. grain based and mashed in house) and there’s a reason for this… Owner and creator of all things Southward, Frankie, has a passion for whisky but as we all know Whisky needs at least 3 years in barrel before it can be released. That’s why in the meantime all the Gin and Vodka that comes out of Southward are grain based, hand crafted and made with the same love and passion that you’d put into a fine Single Malt… Stay tuned for their Whisky though, it’s only a few years off…
Maple Gin you ask? Well, there’s another perfectly logically reason for this too, Frankie happens to Canadian and as we all know, Maple Syrup is a larger export for Canada than Celine Dion or the Canucks. Released just in time for Canada Day (July 1st) this unique gin naturally has Maple tones with a subtle sweet taste (similar to an Old Tom). Not like your pancake syrup but a sweet tone that rounds out the smooth rich taste of golden maple syrup. A seasonal release once a year to stir up a northern twist on your traditional drinks. Lighter on the ABV and made to mix with ginger ale, ginger beer.
