Description
A long and hardship road for BenRiach. Opened in 1898 and just after 2 weeks due to the crash in the 1900 the distillery was used for production for sister distillery Longmorn. Forward to 2004 BenRiach was purchased and became an independent distillery releasing its own whiskey and this 10 yr old was the first of their range.
Smells
Aromas are a lively combination of crisp, green orchard fruits, stem ginger and hints of tangerine mellows to creamy vanilla.
Tastes
warm toasty charters, dried apricots, green apple and touches of aniseed. The beautiful sherry cask comes through with a long intriguing finish.
