Don't be put off by the less-than-serious name, this is a quality blend of 3 of the greatest Speyside single malts - Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Kininvie. The flavour profile is zesty orange, vanilla, honey and spiced oak, with an ultra-smooth vanilla-infused palate... This soft, smooth, charming Speyside whisky is composed of only premium barley malt grain and has no cheaper corn whisky. Sometimes a blend of three great single malt whiskies is better than just one. So, don't be fooled that single malt must always be the best, a triple malt can beat them. A Monkey shoulder is the nickname given to the RSI injury that many distillery workers suffer after too long a day shovelling the barley grains in the malting room, making sure we all get to drink great whiskies like this one, they suffer for their art. Lucky us!
Smells
stylish aromatics of cocoa, malt and marmalade with vanilla and baking spices.
Tastes
wonderful flavours of hot buttered toast with malt, cream and manuka honey supported by dried fruits, summer berries with hints of barley. Good length giving way to aniseed and peppermint notes on the finish.
