Description

France’s 5th most popular NV Champagne... the House is 212 years old (est. 1811). Charles de Cazanove own 200ha of their own vineyards, ensuring their Chef de Cave (head winemaker) retains a very high level of quality control. This Brut NV is a blend of all three grapes allowed in the appellation... 60% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and 10% Chardonnay. It’s generosity, length and elegant bubbles emanate from nearly 3-years ageing on lees... belying its price and ensuring it can be superbly crafted in a drier Brut style. Champion Trophy & Gold + 4 x 94/100 ratings + 92/100 Wine Spectator is phenomenal for Champagne at this price. 5 Stars in Cuisine’s Under $100 Champagnes… it beat many high flying big brands double its price.

Smells

Fresh berry fruits, baked bread, brioche, almond, honey and freshly cut apple.

Tastes

60% Pinot Noir is core to the fine structure and length of this refined Brut NV Champagne. It shows pronounced richness with layers of fresh fruits infused with pastry, bread, subtle roasted nut and honeyed Champagne characters. Very finely bubbled with a creamy mousse and a lingering fresh, dry finish. Perfect pick you up Champagne... the ultimate evening starter and finisher.
