Lancelot-Royer Cuvee des Chevaliers

Growers Champagne from south of Epernay in the Grand Cru village of Cramant

Description

Lancelot-Royer is a Growers Champagne established in 1960 by Pierre Lancelot and in 1996 his daughter Sylvie and her husband Michael took over the business. Located in the Cote de Blancs region south of Epernay, in the Grand Cru Village of Cramant, Lancelot-Royer is one of the last estates where everything is done by hand, including remuage and disgorging to order.

Smells

Classic Blanc de Blancs nose with subtle yellow plum and stonefruit, with hazelnut, brioche and toast.

Tastes

Clean and purely fruited with excellent balance of creamy, toasty lees characters showing the 44 months on lees. Outstanding wine of character and class, with decadent flavours and texture. Enjoy it with scallops and creamy fish dishes.
