Description
The blend of 50% Chardonnay, 46% Pinot Noir and 4% Pinot Meunier is straight out of the Champagne winemaking manual, as is the winemaking and extended lees aging. This Marlborough bubbles is very champagne like in character/style and without peer at its price point. It has been appropriately recognised with 4 x Champion Trophy wins for "Champion NZ NV Sparkling" at the “World Sparkling & Champagne Championships” in London. An additional Champion NZ Trophy, 10 Gold Medals & 4 x 5 Stars… it seems a fair argument to suggest this is NZ’s finest premium NV Sparkling. #1 NZ Sparkling at Fine Wine Delivery by a country mile since 2015… our Sparkling drinkers voting with their credit cards. Smells
Delicate toasty aromas of red apple, peach, grilled lemon, brioche and honey.
Tastes
Creamy and fulsome with balancing acidity and mousse. Red apple, peach, subtle toast, hints of vanilla, brioche… all carried to a persisting finish by fine citrus infused bubbles. Character and complexity becoming NV Champagne at an exceptional price - try it with oysters or salmon canapes for ultimate enjoyment but also enjoy by itself as a delicious aperitif!
