Description
A legendary Australian Tawny Port with a history going back over 100 years. Blended from a 'Solera system' of specific stocks containing barrels well over 50 years old. The final blend of each release is guaranteed to have a minimum average age exceeding 20 years old and contains a small percentage of some of the very old barrels.
Smells
Glorious and nutty, with almond, fig, raisin and caramel. The aged component shows through in the rich rancio (developed, aged characters) and the olive green edges around the glass.
Tastes
The fabulously rich mouth feel delivers a combination of power/elegance laced with gorgeous nutty characters. It is tempered with a fine quality spirit that adds a touch of finesse to the seductive drawn out finish.
