For the first time ever, Fine Wine Delivery is bringing you a Made Too Much (MTM) “Cabernet Sauvignon” at a staggering $13.99 bottle... and it’s from the famous Coonawarra Region in South Australia. I should also mention it’s from the outstanding 2021 vintage. Who would have dreamed Premium Coonawarra Cabernet could ever be sold for as little as $13.99 bottle... not us! In a superb vintage the winery made far too much and by the time it was due to come out of barrel and into bottle the World was in a global cost of living crisis. They were nervous about heavily discounting it in their own backyard. So, they reached out across the ditch to find who had the largest premium customer base and could be trusted to CLEAR their significant oversupply without disclosing its true origins. All the signs pointed to Fine Wine Delivery and our popular MTM label. We are contracted to not reveal anything specific about its winemaking, retail, awards etc. But you will be blown away with this wine, and its richly fruited power. A delicious premium Coonawarra Cabernet disguised under our MTM label at an incomprehensible $13.99 bottle... never thought we’d see the day! It will age though 2027-2029... but at its price, you just want to drink it.
Smells
Classic Coonawarra Cabernet aromas of blackberry, cassis & dark cherry, layered with cedar, dried herb & spice complexities.
Tastes
The palate is opulent and full-bodied: dense dark fruits including plum & blackcurrant, wrapped in silky tannins. Oak smoke, tobacco leaf, and baking spice weave throughout, balancing the fruit’s intensity. The acidity is firm yet elegant, carrying the wine to a long finish with dusty tannin. Enjoy now through to 2027-2029, with hard cheese or pair with most BBQ creations.
