Description

The buying team at FWD are constantly searching for extraordinary wine deals to satisfy our very discerning customers. Wines that deliver massively beyond their asking price only come around very infrequently. This 2017 Merlot Cabernet from a cult Hawke's Bay wine producer is one of the finest we've ever discovered. Sworn to secrecy as usual, you will be blown away by the impeccable quality from the first sip.

Smells

Beautifully perfumed and detailed, lifted violets and plums, with blackberry, iron, liquorice and cigar box Bordeaux like aromatic complexities.

Tastes

Crunchy black and red berry fruits, with liquorice and graphite. The savoury complexities are heightened by fine chalky tannins. It is eminently drinkable now but would evolve over the next 5+ years. Best enjoyed with fine cuts of red meat and great company.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
