Description

Talk about judging a wine by the company it keeps - Cos Labory is a Fifth Growth sandwiched right in between two of the biggest names in Bordeaux, Cos d'Estournel to the north and Chateau Lafite-Rothschild to the south. The Le Saint-Estephe is a rich and brooding wine, aging and drinking beautifully at seven years old, and at its best over the next three to four years.

Smells

Classic brooding nose showing liquorice, cassis, cedar and plums.

Tastes

Elegant and finely structured, you can see the influence of the fine Cos terroir, with some of the clay soils from up by Lafon Rochet. Silky and mouth filling, the wine is great buying for Bordeaux enthusiasts.
