In the Summer of 2019, an unexpected opportunity arose and they sourced a small block of exceptional quality Pinot Noir from a vineyard in Lowburn on the edge of Lake Dunstan. Lucky for us, Church Road Grand Reserve Pinot Noir was born. And just like their Chardonnay, this Pinot offers exceptional quality for the minor price tag.
Smells
a perfumed bouquet fills the air around the glass, aromas of wild raspberries, bramble, violets, and rosehips fulfil the senses.
Taste: A vibrant, juicy Pinot Noir with lashings of vibrant red fruit flavours combined with a seriously crunchy texture. This is a stellar Pinot that will excite everyone from novice wine drinkers through to connoisseurs. A well structure wine with chewy, chalky, salivating tannins that frame the bright, juicy fruit which has a playful level of complexity, adding an extra dimension. Delicious drinking now through 2026 and will be perfect with pasta, duck, or lamb.
