Description

If ever you needed confirmation that great wine is all about site selection, Greystone should be exhibit A. The Thomas family planted the limestone-rich and marginal slopes of the Waipara Valley in 2004 and in almost no time, were making wines as fine as any in the country. Now the vines are reaching full maturity, it will be intriguing to follow the evolution of their flagship Pinot Noir. Still well priced, it won't always be the case - so start your collection today... or simply grab a case to savour with duck, lamb and venison.

Smells

Classic Pinot nose of red and black berry fruits with floral aspects and exotic spice.

Tastes

Juicy and sweetly fruited with amazing eastern spice, milk chocolate and french oak notes, a serious structure emerging beneath the lovely hedonistic fruit. Still a baby, this will be worth cellaring for 10 to 12 years if you want to appreciate its full majesty.
