Description

"Martinborough Vineyards have some of the oldest Pinot Noir vines in NZ and were one of the first with the raw materials and the history to craft a super-premium 'Grand Cru' version of their Estate Pinot Noir. Only made in the very finest vintages, this is their best edition yet and at the time of vintage the vines were 36-years old, but it's very scarce, with just 1,868 bottles produced.

Smells

A beautifully fragrant and floral nose showing deep complexity including lavender, violet, raspberry and five spice.

Tastes

Supple, velvety and long, this Pinot Noir has an overwhelming sense of tension and energy found in all great wines with latent cellar potential. While still extremely young, it shows itself beautifully in a decanter over a few hours, but we would recommend drinking this from 2015-2030 if properly stored."
