Description

Neudorf owners Tim and Judy Finn held back the 2015 vintage of Moutere Pinot Noir in their cellars, choosing to release it at 3 years of age. With scores as high as 96 points and a total allocation of 60 bottles this wine will not be available for long. This 2015 Neudorf Moutere Pinot Noir is a big, brooding wine with many years of evolution ahead apropos its generosity and complexity.

Smells

Brooding aromas of fresh black cherry and Damson plum in concert with spicy oak, floral notes and nutmeg/cinnamon spices.

Tastes

It's immediately powerful on the palate with a tirade of dark fruits infused with spices, savoury notes and a hint of cedary oak. It has plenty of ripe fine tannin and bright acidity that do justice to its largesse. Drinking at its best circa 2023 and beyond, but do enjoy in its youth with strongly flavoured game dishes.
