Description

Tatou vineyard is where the Waihopai and Wairau Valleys meet, with a variety of shingle and gravel soils, from the stellar 2013 vintage resulting in a deliciously plush style of Pinot Noir and now with 7 years in the bottle offers an incredible opportunity to drink a Pinot in its prime. The grapes were handpicked, hand sorted and destemmed. Fermented using wild yeasts then matured in French barriques, bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Smells

earthy, forest floor, mushroomy, and crushed dried thyme aromas warm the senses underpinned by strawberries, raspberries and red cherries.

Tastes

plush, generous fruit coat the palate with chewy, warming tannins giving structure and drive. Flavours of red berries with roasted vegetable notes, cinnamon and spice linger on the taste buds with a salivating texture, leaving you wanting another sip. Perfect drinking now with pasta and gamey meats.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
