Description
Phantom is back! The 2019 vintage has just landed. This is the big, rich, buttery, toasty Chardonnay that you love, but using French Oak to impart a creamy texture and finer vanillin flavours... like cloaking a monster in a ballgown. Fermented in French Oak, guided through malolactic fermentation and regularly lees stirred, it has greater body, richness and creamy, buttery, elements than its monstrously popular sibling... but delivered in a finer way.
Smells
Rich vanilla and lemon curd with toast, apricot, and red apple.
Tastes
Ripe apricot and Golden peach freshened by red apples infused with sweet vanillin, and buttery creaminess. Freshly baked shortbread and light toastiness unfolds in the powerful finish which is buoyed by fresh natural acidity. Enjoy roast chicken, pork, and creamy pasta dishes now through 2025.
