There are some wines that just make you go "mmmmm"... this 2018 Greywacke Botrytis Pinot Gris charmed us with its full-blown botrytis nose, it's unctuous texture and fruit concentration. With 60% undergoing a wild fermentation and spending 9 months in barrel on lees, it is a complex wine that will go perfectly with pate, blue cheese, or a fruit-based dessert.
Smells
Apricot and pear leap from the glass, with mandarin, almonds and honey following up.
Tastes
Great balance of sweetness and acid. Pear, apricot, and mandarin all vying for pole position, lovely honeyed almond complexity. Drinking well now, but it would continue to drink well to 2025+.
