Description
Church Road has produced Bordeaux style Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon led blends since 1990. Superior viticulture experience and working in concert with highly respected Bordeaux producer Domaine Cordier have culminated in another impressive red. With fruit off Redstone and Bridge Pa vineyards producing a full-bodied red comprising typically of mostly Merlot and a dash of Cabernet. This wine spends 12 months in oak offering further complexity and cuddly characters, great upon release (1 hour in a decanter for best results) or will cellar for up to 10 years.
Smells
Rich plum and dark berry fruits with complex spice, sandalwood, violet and dried lavender, and even a hint of Chinese red plums.
Tastes
A backbone of fine ripe tannins embraces this serious, complex, classic Bordeaux style red with notes of rich cassis, berry and dark chocolate which carry through to the fulsome finish. Again a stonking wine, powerful, concentrated, classical in style and exceptional value for money. Serve with your favourite red meats.
