Description
Cannonau is the principal red grape of Sardinia and is believed to be the same variety as Grenache (France) or Garnacha in Spain. This is a late-ripening variety, best suited to hot, dry conditions, producing wines with generous red fruit flavours, bursting with raspberries and strawberries, soft acidity, and moderate tannins. The perfect everyday wine to share with family and friends. Light up the Barbie, throw on your favourite meats and share a glass of I Fiori, sit back, relax, and enjoy the finer things in life.
Smells
a lifted perfume of sun-drenched strawberries, liquorice, lavender and the wonderful note of a salty ocean breeze, characteristic of grapes grown on a Mediterranean Island.
Tastes
The palate lives up to the varietal description, generous fruit supported by cheek-hugging tannins giving structure, all making for a tantalising and satisfying drop. The finish is long and perfectly balanced, the quintessential BBQ wine, a second glass is irresistible. Drinking well now through 2025.
