Description
The classic Alexandra perfumes of spicy fruits burst from the glass with absolute purpose in this 2021 Pinot Noir, reminding you that Shaky Bridge is in possession of some of the oldest vines in Central Otago (averaging 30 years and some up to 40 years old). Classy, opulent, and sophisticated, it's silky and possibly just a tad fuller flavoured than the previous (Champion) vintage. This is a serious Otago experience at a very unserious price - almost too good to be true! Savour between now and 2026.
Smells
A haunting bouquet of spiced cherries, roses, wild thyme, and summer plums.
Tastes
A voluptuous and full-flavoured Pinot with a very attractive silky texture, the tannins are refined and supple. This wine carries notes of opulent dark fruits that keep you reaching for your glass all night. Premium Otago Pinot drinkers can seriously bridge the quality gap between midweek and weekend drinking by indulging in Shaky Bridge... and do so through 2026! Made for cheese platters and pasta dishes.
