The real deal, judiciously crafted! Hand-picked and whole bunch pressed, before fermentation in fine French oak (20% new) for 12 months. The resulting wine is a case study in richness and harmony, a tribute to another Hawkes Bay vintage that will rank among the greats… to exceptional vineyards and to twice NZ Winemaker of the Year Hugh Crichton.
Smells
Elegant and Burgundian, showing great fruit concentration and richness, think brioche, ripe stone fruit and nougat.
Tastes
Juicy and rich, with toasted nuts, nougat, ripe stone fruit, oh so stylish Chardonnay. Layers of complexity, creaminess… hugely satisfying from first to last sip. Concentration, elegance, and seduction from go to whoa. Enjoy with roast chicken accompanied by mustard braised cabbage… roast white meats and poultry dishes would be ideal.
