Crafted to represent the early whiskies, specifically Alexander Walker's 1867 Old Highland Whisky. The Johnnie Walker belief is that neither whisky age alone, nor whisky from a single location is enough to create the ultimate dram. Only 1 cask in 10,000 is selected for Blue Label quality by malt master Jim Beveridge, the final blend being a scintillating combination of honey, fruit, smoke and incredibly silken texture. Smells
a plethora of aromatics; roasted coffee beans, brown sugar, cola, chocolate with cedar and toasty barrel char, hints of leather and tobacco smoke.
Tastes
a luxurious wee dram with peat and smoke flavours, vanilla and dark chocolate, caramel and cinnamon. The palate is rich and creamy with an impeccable long lingering aftertaste.
