Brief history of Laurent-Perrier...

The House of Laurent-Perrier was founded in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot and took the name Vve Laurent-Perrier when Mathilde Emilie Perrier, the widow of Eugène Laurent, combined the two family names after she decided to expand the business. Eugénie Hortense Laurent, her daughter, inherited the House in 1925 and sold it to Marie-Louise Lanson de Nonancourt in 1939.

Created by the House in 1968... it is 100% Grand Cru Pinot Noir sourced from 10 different Cru. Macerated on skins between 48-72 hours to extract just the right level of aroma, red fruit and Rosé colour. It is subtly powerful Champagne infused with a complex amalgam of red fruit and bready, nutty, biscuit like lees ageing nuances. The mouthfeel is finely creamed, it finishes with concerted length and freshness reminding you this is “Prestige” Champagne you are drinking.

You cannot normally savour outstanding Grand Cru Rosé Cuvée Champagne (an iconic one at that) at $89.90... similarly priced to large volume commercial NV Champagne.
