Description

Cremant de Bordeaux, a sparkling wine, made the same way as Champagne but typically using the local grapes of the region. There are 8 appellations that make Cremant in France and 2 outside of France. Same method, different grape varieties and aged for 9 months on the lees in the bottle verses 12 months for NV Champagne. Basically, excellent bubbles for a fraction of the price. And with an economic recession pending, we all need a bargain and one that is going to pick us up and make us shine. Here is the answer.

Smells

aromas of sweet lemonades, cream of soda with complexing earthy, chalky, and dried herb notes.

Tastes

the palate is focused, effervescent, with exuberant bubbles that give an instant lift. Those same chalky, earthy, herbal flavours as seen on the bouquet are mirrored on the palate, and in a seamless manner. Moderately soft acid, all making for a superb, easy drinking everyday sparkling wine. There is nothing to lose, rather everything to gain. Grab a few bottles, make a cheese platter, and ring your friends.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
