Description

Warre’s is the oldest British owned brand Port house and has an exceedingly fine reputation. It was started in 1670 by two Englishmen, William Burgoyne and John Jackson. Now owned by the Symington family who has furthered its quality and holdings.
Warre’s Otima 20 Year-Old-Tawny reflects the complexity and finesse acquired from prolonged ageing in seasoned wood. The freshness of youth is still present, underpinned by the balanced acidity which is a hallmark of all fine wine. The concentration resulting from gradual evaporation over two decades is perfectly balanced by a refined, aromatic range and voluptuous texture

Smells

Rich and mellowed aromas of toasted nuts, dried red berry fruit, dried figs, marzipan and a rancio edge.

Tastes

Smooth and generous, 20 years in barrel has softened this wine ensuring it is textured with refreshing balancing acidity. A delightful way to finish the evening. Enjoy with hard cheese.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
