Description
Spain's most famous dessert wine, along with moscatel it is the only other grape grown in Jerez other than the ubiquitous Palomino. Sun dried prior to fermentation, it is usually aged in a solera system, making wines of incredible complexity as it ages. This wine is aged for a minimum of 8 years, making it a phenomenal bargain in terms of time.
Smells
Dark brooding nose of raisin, prune, plum and Christmas cake.
Tastes
Lusciously sweet and mouth coating and opulent with flavours of burnt toffee, brown sugar, molasses and raisin, how anyone can resist PX is beyond us. Superb PX with just a hint of freshness to keep things on the straight and narrow...enjoy!
