Description
The PX grapes are dried in the sun until they shrivel into raisins, concentrating all the sweetness for optimal dessert wine. Fortified with brandy to add body and richness, it takes on amazing complexity while aging in soleras.
Smells
A decadent nose, laden with raisins, fruitcake, chocolate and subtle malt notes.
Tastes
Rich and syrupy, raisins, candied orange, honeysuckle, chocolate and fruitcake all vie to number one, but instead for unified deliciousness! Ideal over vanilla ice-cream, with dark chocolate and blue mature cheese like Cabrales.
