No Chardonnay in New Zealand has such a cult following as Clearview Reserve, selling out every year within a few months and then being unavailable until the new release. Founding winemaker Tim Turvey has resumed his involvement more closely in this wine along with new winemaker Matt Kirby and together they have crafted a massively concentrated and full-bodied wine that is faithful to the style that made its name. Opulent, creamy, toasty, and lavishly fruited, this is sensational Chardonnay that will age and fatten out for 10+ years in the cellar if well stored.

Lots of golden peach, pineapple and hazelnut with toasty oak spice and vanilla with lifted flinty notes, brioche and cream.

Lavish and extremely concentrated with lots of toasty, vanilla oak and creamy butterscotch characters flooding the massive palate, cleaned up at the end with balanced citrus and nectarine acidity. A true treat for the lover of big Chardonnays, if we could afford to drink this wine every day, we wouldn't hesitate. Amazing wine that is as good as any Clearview Reserve yet. Enjoy with good food and company between now and 2030. For optimal drinking pleasure the recommended serving temperature is 10-13 degrees.
