Description
Off estate vineyards (9 – 24-year-old-vines), this 94-95-95/100 rated + 2 Gold Medal 2024 Te Tera Pinot Gris showcases Martinborough Vineyard’s amazing depth of quality resource. The grapes were left to hang late into the longer ripening 2024 season, concentrating the aromas and flavours. Hand harvested and destemmed then given three hours of skin contact for the wine to gain extra weight and richness. It was 100% fermented in stainless steel to retain freshness while developing texture and body aging on lees. Dry Pinot Gris with an endearing and refreshing hint of sweetness! Superb with seafood, poultry and feta inspired salads… equally superb by itself!
Smells
Vibrant, deep aromas of nashi pear, white nectarine, Gala apple with hints of baking spice and white flowers.
Tastes
A rich, ripe palate of pears and stone fruit infused with baking spice immediately grabs your attention and keeps you returning to the glass. The texture and structure are remarkable, keeping its luscious flavours in focus… and a touch of sweetness balances the eventually dry finish perfectly. Enjoy now or through to 2028 with salmon dishes or feta filled salads.
