20th Anniversary Celebrations

Last night (Thursday 1/8/2017) the Poole family and team officially celebrated our Fine Wine Delivery Co. 20th Anniversary at our Lunn Avenue SuperStore with valued suppliers, customers and friends who have been alongside us and supported us throughout most of our 20-years. It has been a roller coaster ride with plenty of ups and a few downs, but we've gotten to this 20-year milestone.

We've grown into a strong and vibrant clicks and mortar wine retailer of size and independence and importantly have retained and built on the 5 value pillars that I instigated when starting the business from a bedroom at our then Torbay home 20-years ago. We have 2 fabulous SuperStores, a brilliant website in finewinedelivery.co.nz, a great team, plus our two wonderful children Richard and Tracey at the helm and my beautiful wife Virginia who is my motivation and the absolute glue of our wonderful family business.

We celebrated in style by opening a 15L bottle of the sensational GARDET Brut Tradition Champagne (see pics), it weighs a tonne and was challenging to pour, but it was worth it as it was a stunning bottle of Champagne and made for great theatre. Thanks to all our great suppliers, long term customers and special friends for coming along and making the night so special.

Finally, thanks to Nautilus for supplying their gorgeous Nautilus 2016 Pinot Gris, to EuroVintage for the delicious 2016 Vavasour Chardonnay, to Treasury Wine Estates for the lavish 2014 Wolf Blass Grey Label Shiraz and finally to Sir George Fistonich and the team at Villa Maria for the impressive Villa Maria Seddon Vineyard Pinot Noir.
