Spanish Wine Tour - Day 4, Sunday 31 May

Sunday May 31

Today was a free day for the group to explore Zaragoza and relax, which is essential to maintain a good balance of up and down time on any tour. Zaragoza has plenty of historic buildings to explore and if that's not your go then there's no shortage of cafes, Tapas bars and restaurants where you can enjoy plenty of Catalonian cuisine and wines. Virginia and I spent the morning exploring the old city, including the local markets, the very impressive Basilica, and took a walk up the banks of the river before returning nearby to our hotel for a small Tapas lunch washed down by a Codorniu Anna Rose Cava. I spent the next 3-hours penning the blog for the last two days then rested up for a group dinner at the hotel set for 8.30pm. I was contemplating a great tomorrow with a visits to Borsao followed by a Michelin lunch at Chivite enroute to the amazing coastal city of San Sebastian, our home for the next two nights.

Continue on to day 5 here.
