I began Fine Wine Delivery (FWD) from a spare bedroom at home August 1st, 1997 - August is our 28th Birthday… and our 28^th Annual Penfolds Release. Having also worked for Penfolds Wines in Australia from 1985-1995... I know their culture & winemaking philosophy better than most. In fact, I treasure my framed copy of the "First 25-years of Grange" poster signed by the Late Max Schubert as a gift for my 40th Birthday. Max was Penfolds founding Chief Winemaker & author of Grange and most of these Globally legendary Penfolds Wines!

Max passed the baton onto Don Ditter, he to John Duval, and he to current Chief Winemaker Peter Gago. Throughout 7 changes in ownership of Penfolds since the late 1970's... Max's winemaking philosophy, brand constitution, plus the continued stewardship of each Chief Winemaker... has ensured integrity of quality & style to this day!
