One of the most popular Speyside drams on the market, and for good reason. Double matured in a mix of traditional oak and sherry casks, it's a perfect example of how the distinctively crisp, citrus character of Aberlour's raw spirit is deftly softened by double cask maturation. The nose is soft and rounded with fruity notes of red apple, on the palate a fine sherries character from the casks, dried fruit flavours are balanced with rich chocolate, with a warm and lingering finish.

On a very festive special of just $79.99 a bottle, there's no excuse not to see what the fuss is about or top up on a favourite!

Obar Lobhair or Aberlour means 'the mouth of the chattering burn' and refers to both a town and a famous distillery in the Speyside region of the Scottish Highlands. It is a popular stop on the A95, the gorgeous stone distillery sitting atop the Lour Burn where it joins the famous River Spey. Sherry casks are the hallmark of the house style, the spirit in this Double Cask Matured 12 year-old also seeing Traditional American oak, making for a particularly rich, soft and deliciously viscous experience.  No wonder this classy whisky is one of the top sellers in France and has won so many top gold medals.

Christmas cake aromas, buttery cinnamon toast, raisins, vanilla pods with alluring  chary, woody background notes.

Flavours tend towards Oloroso sherry casks, with generous malty notes, chocolate orange, honey, dried fruits, caramel, milk chocolate and cereal, with butterscotch and ginger spice.  A fabulously viscous texture, rich and soft with nutty and chary nuances on the finish.
