Description
It’s common practise to age premium red wine in Oak barrels, just as it is Whisky – Starward Distillery in Australia decided to take this similarity one step further by aging their Single Malt Whisky in ex Yalumba Octavius casks. For those that may not be familiar with Octavius, it’s one of Australia finest Shiraz wines, aged in American oak from one of Australia’s most awarded Wineries. These ex American oak wine casks impart subtle caramel, dried fruit and chocolate notes to this very smooth Single Malt whisky. This is a truly unique and special whisky from one of Australia’s most awarded distilleries.
