Description
The one and only Bollinger Special Cuvee... a combination of richness, body, power, finesse, and balance… personifying its style and placing it among Champagne’s finest. Its absorbing character comes from the use of very high proportions of Grand and Premier Cru fruit, maturation of the base cuvée in very old barrels, use of 10% aged reserve cuvée… completed with an incredible 4-years aging in bottle on lees.
Smells
Generous aromas of toasted oats, Anzac biscuit, honey, and melon… with subtle lemon zest and floral notes.
Tastes
The weighty palate has prominent toast, honey, Anzac biscuit lees influence supporting rich citrus and melon fruit bounded by delicate fresh citrus edges. Delivered in an explosive platform of very fine bubbles, it’s a compelling Champagne experience that should always excite. Enjoy whilst young and fresh with white meats, poultry, rich seafood dishes… and as an aperitif.
