Description

With a storied history going back to 1811, Charles de Cazanove own 200ha of their own vineyards, a sure sign that there is substance behind the winemaking. Recently awarded 92/100 by Wine Spectator and fresh off its first NZ Gold Medal at the NZIWS 2016, Charles de Cazanove gives us another option alongside our own Champagne Gardet for those wine lovers who prefer money to be spent on winemaking rather than marketing.

Smells

A toasty and berry-fruited nose with freshly cut apple and honey.

Tastes

With 60% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and only 10% Chardonnay, this striking and very well priced Champagne shows a pronounced richness and structure. Subtle nutty, breadiness on the finish from nearly 3 years on lees rounds out a truly satisfying Champagne experience.
