Description
Laurent-Perrier is one of the most distinguished family owned Champagne Houses. Established in 1812 and based in the heart of Champagne they are best known for their outstanding Cuvee Rose with their very excellent La Cuvee often flying under the radar. The meticulous blend for this Champagne is predominately Chardonnay (55%), with 35% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier topping it off. La Cuvee spends four years on lees that impart a wonderful richness, that perfectly balances its elegant vibrancy
Smells
The Chardonnay shows well on the nose with lemon and grapefruit zest softened by brioche and gingerbread.
Tastes
Fresh and elegant, lemon and citrus mesh beautifully with the toasty autolyse characters. The mousse is excellent with lively acidity and a long lingering finish. Enjoy now as an aperitif or with a goats cheese and thyme tart.
