Description
It looks like its famous counterpart, smells like it, and almost tastes like it. Same, same but different, rather a sparkling wine, made in the same traditional method using only Chardonnay grapes (Blanc de Blancs). Maison Veuve Ambal was founded in the heart of Burgundy in 1989 by Veuve Marie Ambal, continued today by her grandchildren who follow in her philosophy of quality, tradition and modernity. An excellent value for money sparkling wine with complexity and richness, offering superb drinking this summer and Sub $20, unheard of. Open a bottle and share with family and friends, making every moment special.
Smells
crisp green apples, pears and lemons with biscuity, brioche and freshly cut crusty sourdough notes.
Tastes
A rich, creamy style of bubbles with complexity and richness making for a superb lunchtime or early evening tipple, the perfect aperitif. Freshly baked apple tart and lemon curd flavours are balanced by a chalky, earthy minerality, leaving the palate refreshed and cleansed, the perfect starter before any meal. Oh for a glass with cheese gougeres (a speciality of Chablis, choux pastry with cheese), heaven.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
