Description
Greyrock Te Koru wines are made by the Sileni Estate team. A label that is typically exported but luckily for us, a little parcel found its way into the Fine Wine Delivery warehouse. Koru is the Maori word for ‘look or coil’. It is an integral symbol in Maori carving and symbolises new life, growth, strength, and peace. The Koru features on the back label which was carved by local artist and sculptor Emma Scott.
Smells
dark blackcurrant, cedar, and bramble aromas
Tastes
the palate is rich and full bodied with a creamy mid palate texture, balanced by the crisp acid thread, inherent to the variety. Supper drinkable with salivating chalky tannins that give a moreish character. Perfect drinking now and over the next couple of years. Any BBQ meats will make this taste even better.
