Beaujolais is the unsung hero of the wine world, but take our word for it, things are changing and word of the exceptional quality and value for money these wines offer is on the tip of many people’s tongues. There are many quality tiers within Beaujolais, starting with Beaujolais AOC, Beaujolais-Village followed by the 10 Cru (in this region Cru means village). Morgon is one of the Cru and considered high up the quality scale within the 10 villages. Again, we cannot reinforce strongly enough the value to quality ratio these wines offer.

A wine that speaks of little or no carbonic maceration, rather fermentation on skins, accounting for the dense fruit on the back palate and chewy, dusty tannins giving structure and power to the palate. Good drinking now and will cellar for 2-3years and will be a great match with duck.
