Description
Cos is an exciting natural winery in the Vittoria region of Sicily. Located in the southeast corner of the island, Vittoria is the home to the only Sicilian DOCG, Cerasuaolo di Vittoria, which brings together the Nero d’Avola and Frappato varieties to make a really elegant, fresh, expressive red. This is 100% Nero d'Avola growen using organically and biodynamically practices at 230m above sea level. Nero d’Avola is more elegant than in other regions and has these great mineral notes from the soil.”
Smells
On the nose, aromas of pomegranate and cloves with warm tannic notes.
Tastes
On the palate, complex and mineral with dried fruit flavours backed up with notes of almonds and smoke. The tannins give this wine excellent structure, and the finish is smooth and lingering. A superb drinking wine and will age 5-8 years+ and will match with soups, stews or hard mature cheese. The recommended serving temperature is 15-17 degrees.
