Description
With more than 30 generations and 700 years behind them, the Frescobaldi family are one of the great winemaking families of Tuscany. Tenuta Perano is born on the hills of Gaiole. A gorgeous amphitheatre, 500m above sea level orientated towards the sun, a unique site producing intense wines with robust tannins, yet retaining an elegance.
Smells
An intriguing and delicious nose showing hints of anise, ripe black stewed plums, leather, cured meat, sour cherry, sage, and cigar box notes.
Tastes
Elegant and medium-bodied in the mouth, hints of cola, florals, and cherry fruits through to a fine finish, with tart summer plum flavours and fine spicy oak. A classy drop that will pair perfectly with pastas and red meats between now and 2030. The recommended serving temperature is 15-17 degrees.
