Description
Honoro Vera, crafted by the Gil family in Rioja, offers a vibrant expression of Garnacha from high-altitude vineyards at 700-1000 meters. Nestled in clay-rich, metamorphic soils under the Sierra Cantabria mountains, the grapes develop naturally high acidity, providing a strong backbone to the wine’s bright, fruit-driven flavours. Fermented in stainless steel for 15 days at controlled temperatures below 25ºC, which emphasises juicy fruit over tannins, delivering a beautifully approachable and generous style.
Smells
big, ripe aromas, blackberries and Doris plums with raspberries and cranberries for freshness, and with a dusting of brown spice.
Tastes
A plush, ripe wine which has been reined in by the crunchy juicy acidity giving freshness and drinkability. There is a sensual intermingling of dark, baked fruit, raspberries and cranberries with chocolate and coffee thrown in for good measure. Smooth tannins and crunchy acidity complete the package, delicious drinking. Perfect with BBQ meats. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
