Description
An excellent example of a well-balanced, fruit-forward Marlborough Pinot Noir… the warm summer providing superb fruit for this 2023 vintage. Grapes were grown on hillside vineyards in the Southern Valleys sub-region of Marlborough, which is renowned for outstanding quality. Lower yields resulted in higher concentration and optimal ripening, creating superb sweet and savoury contrast that defines good Pinot.
Smells
Initially fresh berry and cherry aromas unfold with subtle earthy notes. It soon blossoms, revealing additional red fruits, hints of green peppercorns, and savoury mushrooms.
Taste: Wild berry and cherry fruit flavours glide over the palate with plum, rich fruit cake and baking spices adding to its charm. Smooth tannins complement the dry spice accentuating the rich and supple finish. Terrific bang for buck Pinot Noir to enjoy now… and up to 2028+.
