Description

Few wines embody their name as perfectly as the Lionheart of the Barossa. This Shiraz is as bold, majestic, and commanding as its namesake, the King of the Jungle. Crafted from gnarled 100+ year-old vines still on original rootstock, a global treasure & rarity! It exudes richness and depth, with layers of dark fruit and spice. The wine is fermented with whole clusters, adding complexity and structure, before being matured in fine French oak to enhance its character. Bottled with minimal intervention, it retains its authenticity and charm... true testament to the heart of Barossa winemaking.

Smells

Deep, dark, and full of liquorice and fruits of the forest, with a hint of dried herbs, chocolate, and cassis.

Tastes

Full-bodied and rich, but beautifully balanced and completely seamless with its integration of dark berry & plum fruit, oak spice & smooth tannins. The Lionheart is a stunning Shiraz offering amazing value for Australian red wine lovers. Drink now to 2029+ with your favourite BBQ meats. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
