Description

The Barossa is one of the world’s most iconic wine regions, with a rich winemaking heritage dating back to the 1840s. At the very heart of this storied landscape lies the Valley Floor—a prized stretch of land known for producing bold, expressive wines. Langmeil’s Valley Floor Shiraz is a tribute to this special place and a true taste of the Barossa. Langmeil has access to some of the oldest and most historic Shiraz vines in Australia, and they’ve drawn on fruit from all 19 Valley Floor sub-regions to craft this wine. With deep local knowledge and a focus on preserving the core Valley Floor fruit, the result is a powerful yet beautifully balanced Shiraz—rich in dark fruit, spice, and structure, with the kind of depth that only old vines can deliver. This is classic Barossa through and through—bold, generous, and utterly satisfying. If you love robust reds with real pedigree, this bottle deserves a spot in your collection.

Smells

A very friendly nose, plum, blackberry, dark mint chocolate, with hints of leather and spice.

Tastes

Full-bodied, intense fruit. Dark berries and plums. Chocolate and vanillin. Great texture, supple tannins, and length for days. It is drinking well now but would benefit from 5+ years in the cellar. Enjoy with BBQed sirloin steak or chargrilled eggplant. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
